Har Homa

The Har Homa neighborhood was planned on the hills between Bethlehem in the south and Kibbutz

Ramat Rachel in the north, thus completing the ring of southern neighborhoods and spreading a

scroll in the west and Judea desert in the east. The steep slopes of these hills have forced us to find

various alternatives to prevent severe damage to the landscape, and adapt themselves to the existing

topography. Construction of the neighborhood, initially designed for 6,5000 housing units, began after

the evacuation of land in Samaria (the first phase) phase I (2,650 housing units) consists of relatively

small structures that align with topography and thus reflect the built shell.

Our office is also building a sewage treatment plant located in the neighborhood and intended for

use in the eastern neighborhoods of Jerusalem. Its role is to prevent pollution of the Judean Desert

the purified water will be used to irrigate the public gardens in the neighborhood and in the entire

city. The neighborhood was planned as part of the steps in the Oslo agreement between the

Palestinian Authority and the State of Israel.
